Who we are

Barak Diskin is a Los Angeles-based real estate developer, investor, and entrepreneur with a career deeply entrenched in the real estate industry. Raised in Los Angeles, California, Diskin graduated from the University of Miami, Florida, with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and a minor in Real Estate. His career kicked off at Decron Properties, a multi-billion-dollar real estate investment, management, and development firm headquartered in Los Angeles. Joining the company post-college, he rapidly advanced to the role of Director of Acquisitions, sharpening his skills in sourcing and securing high-value real estate opportunities. In 2009, he left Decron to pursue independent real estate deals, marking the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey in the field.

In 2015, Diskin helped start CloudKitchens, a groundbreaking venture in the ghost kitchen and food delivery sector, alongside partners Diego Berdakin and Sky Dayton. He was instrumental in its early development, acquiring and building the first CloudKitchens facility in Los Angeles’ Koreatown submarket. When Travis Kalanick, former Uber CEO, acquired a controlling stake in CloudKitchens in 2018 and became CEO, Diskin shifted from Chief Operating Officer to Head of Global Real Estate. In this role, he drove the company’s international expansion, overseeing acquisitions, design, development, construction, procurement, and property management.

Beyond CloudKitchens, Diskin’s real estate expertise influenced his earlier entrepreneurial venture, MeUndies, which he co-founded in 2010 with childhood friend Jonathan Shokrian. While MeUndies grew into a successful e-commerce subscription business—exceeding $100 million in annual revenue with investors like Winklevoss Capital and Simon Property Group—Diskin’s real estate background informed his strategic approach, particularly in forging partnerships with real estate-savvy investors.

Today, Diskin focuses on opportunistic real estate investments and developments across the United States. His career reflects a blend of traditional real estate acumen and innovative application, from managing high-value portfolios to executing complex projects. With a proven track record in Los Angeles and beyond, Diskin continues to shape the real estate landscape through strategic acquisitions, development, and a keen eye for emerging opportunities.
